IPCA has an active committee structure, providing a greater opportunity for you to enhance the value of your membership while building a stronger association. IPCA hosts Committee meetings throughout the year to provide a forum for members to hear important presentations necessary to their businesses while providing members an opportunity to bring issues to the attention of the association.

Steering Committee

The IPCA Steering Committee meets annually to review association’s annual budget prior to consideration by the IPCA Board of Directors. The committee meets as necessary on major issues impacting the association.

Who Should Attend?

  • Current Executive Committee members of the association.
  • Committee membership is limited to former Presidents of the IPCA still active in the association.

Fuel and Environment Legislative/Regulatory Committee

The Fuel and Environment Legislative/Regulatory Committee is responsible for developing and monitoring legislative/regulatory policies regarding the storage, transportation, and delivery of fuel products. The Fuel and Environment Legislative/Regulatory Committee follows regulatory affecting petroleum marketers including issues involving:

  • Environment
  • Weights and measures
  • Fire and building safety codes
  • Taxation
  • Transportation

Who Should Attend?

  • Committee members are limited to Active members, particularly those involved in the transportation and storage of fuel and/or lubes.
  • Advisory members are any Associate members involved in environmental, transportation or workplace safety (limited to 1 per member company).

C-Store Legislative/Regulatory Committee

The C-Store Legislative/Regulator Committee is responsible for developing and monitoring legislative/regulatory policies regarding c-stores and all other retail activities. The committee meets as necessary with officials from Hoosier Lottery, Alcohol and Tobacco Commission and others. The C-Store Legislative/Regulatory Committee follows issues of concern to retail operations, such as:

  • Youth tobacco and alcoholic beverage compliance
  • Lottery sales
  • Permits

Who Should Attend?

  • Committee members are limited to Active members primarily involved in C-store operations.
  • Advisory members are any Associate members involved in “inside sales” (limited to 1 per member company).

Members Relations/Development

The Member Relations/Development committee will work to create educational programs and outings, identify useful member services and develop new member recruitment strategies.

provides an opportunity to discuss programs, assist in, development of effective communication materials (newsletter, magazine, website). The IPCA President’s Council is open only to those members who participate at the President’s Council level. All council meetings meet as necessary.

Who Should Attend?

  • Committee members are limited to any Active member.
  • Advisory members are open to any Associate member or President's Council member (limited 1 per member company).

Associate Relations Committee

The Associate Relations committee will help guide the IPCA staff in determining how the association can best maximize the associate member experience through networking, educational opportunities, and sponsorships.

Who Should Attend?

  • Advisory members are open to all President's Council or Associate members (limited 1 per member company).

Next Generation Committee

The most informal of all committees, this group will provide an opportunity for IPCA members to learn and network with peers in the industry. Attending specialty-created seminar and tours will be part of the committee's curriculum.

Who Should Attend?

  • Members of this committee are limited to any Active member under the age of 40.
